1. Where do you live?
2. When was her last seizure/how stable is she?
Hey, Rip!
Quick backstory:
10 year old daughter is very weak on her left side due to stroke in utero. She has a VP shunt and is epileptic due to the stroke. However, 99% of the time, very normal happy kid.
Running is awkward. Walking looks unnatural at times. Left arm is somewhat functional, but she hates trying to use it.
I've taken her to Physical Therapy in the past, with minimal results. Also, she is only 10 - so I think it's too early for barbells.
2 questions for you:
1. I've heard your general opinion on PT's. That being said, how would I go about finding one that knows what they're talking about?
2. Do you have other recommendations?

1. Dallas Area
2. 2 weeks back. Normally they happen falling asleep at night or waking up in the morning. She has a "larger" seizure once every 2 - 3 months.
In Dallas, your man is Darin Deaton DPT SSC.
