Your opinion of the AAPS is irrelevant, Dr. Anonymous. Do you have evidence of the errors or misrepresentations in the linked piece? What specifically is false?

Several years back, the FDA cracked down on estrogen and progesterone available in pill or tablet form. The FDA said hormones delivered in this form = "not a supplement" and "not a cosmetic". Interestingly, DHEA in tablet form was allowed. That's still a supplement. It was the estrogen and progesterone that broke the rules.
Bezwecken is a company that used to produce small hormone tablets that could be used sublingually or as a vaginal suppository. Great products. I was one of many aging women that were highly distressed when the products were discontinued.
Bezwecken shifted gears and began making topical oils and also vaginal hydration cubes. Both products contain estrogen and/or progesterone (mg listed on label) but fall under the cosmetic category and therefore are "ok".
I don't know how long the FDA will leave these OTC estrogen and progesterone products alone (oils, cubes, creams). It's infuriating.
