If you like action movies this is a very good podcast episode.

Who knew Rip was into fencing other than barbed wire?

Rip, what’s your opinion on the Last Samurai? It’s one of my go to favourites, along with kingdom of heaven( I have yet to see the directors cut, can’t find it).

Haven't seen The Last Samurai in a while. I need to watch it again.

Reason I asked is your stated opinion on Tom Cruise, which I share (I’m the only person I know who does). I kinda feel like it’s his best performance, along with that one where he played a hit man. Can’t remember the name of that one. But I mean, the whole cast, particularly Ken Watanabe, was fantastic. And the sword play! Jesus!

The director's cut is for rent on Amazon, I think it's like 4 bucks but it's totally worth it.

Amazon won’t let me rent it. I think it’s just another drawback of living in Canada.

Takeshi Kitano’s version of Zatoichi is well worth watching.

I think it has the most realistic climactic sword fight in cinema.
