This is insanity. We truly live in a dystopic clown world. Why does a "doctor" believe that lifting weights, building muscle, tendon, ligament, cartilage, and getting stronger would not likewise build or benefit the skeletal structure? The bones? How are they licensed?

Sad that this woman probably did this to herself by being anorectic and doing "cardio at Planet Fitness" from the age of 15 on. Holy cow. How many such cases?

Basically, all of them. It is self-inflicted, a First-World disorder. Julia had enough sense to correct it. Most don't -- they just want a pill, and their "doctor" just wants to write a prescription. They want EASY to work.

The video made it sound like Julia is still going to that same doctor. Is that true?

Probably. Women are just that way.

This is really moving. Congratulations to both of them.

    I caught that too.

Some American socialized medicine makes switching Drs hard. Some American socialized private insurance does too. Very little in American medicine isn’t socialized despite all the myths to the contrary.

    Rip,

Not sure if you caught the Joe Rogan Podcast with NASA astronaut Garret Raisman (worth the full listen), but NASA figured out how to negate bone loss in space. Not sure how their resistance exercise gadget works, but after playing with it the awesome thing is that they decided the best stress was sets of 5 maximum effort reps. They allegedly totally negated the zero gravity bone loss with this method. Just imagine how well this model works in the presence of gravity.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

    Fuck doctors.

No RCTs, so it will have to be left to the imagination.
