    Coach,

I know you have written on this subject and the lifting and running records prove men have a significant advantage. Heck, even the boys records in high school appear to me to beat the women world record holders in running.

But, you mentioned once that boys in utero get an advantage of neuromuscular efficiency. Not doubting you, I just want to read the study for that if you can post it. We're having an argument in my state soon about boys in girls sports and I'd like to cite studies. Thanks.

I don't have a study for that. How would it be conducted, and why would it be necessary?

    Hi,

I read this a couple of years ago, and found it useful. Although it doesn't answer your specific question, i think it might be a starting point for your research:

    Coach,

Studies to try and stop the nonsense but I re-read what you wrote on it and the transcript from the podcast.

I understood better in the second reading that all the advantages happen in utero, such as the changes that simply make males male.

Somewhere I saw a broadjump survey on like 6 year olds. It was pretty compelling.

If males did not have an athletic performance advantage over females, then female-only divisions would have never been necessitated.

And while we're at it, what color is the sky?

Not a dude, doesn't skip leg day, and seems like she won the race before it even started!

    You don't need a study.

    Couple of axioms:

1 - Testosterone is a performance enhancing drug, if it's not you are arguing with a fool. Ask them why then, are testosterone levels checked at all.

2 - Exposure to testosterone takes place in utero if you are Male.

If they argue that just ask what part specifically doesn't make sense.

If they want a study just search for "neuromuscular efficiency males v females" It doesn't matter which one they won't read it anyway.

If they argue, ask them why little boys are born with tallywackers and little girls are not.
