Helium shortage
Do you belive there is a helium shortage? It seems they use it to cool the magnets in MRIs. Polticans are saying doctors may not get to use the MRI soon. We can only get helium from cryogenic freezing petroleum. Do you belive this is true we are running out of helium or another fake environmental conspiracy.

Interesting, why would they want to act like we are running out. My guess is to jack up prices more to make only a poor and rich class.

We may well be running out, if demand exceeds the ability to replace supply. The only way for us to make actual new helium is with nuclear fusion, and we don't know how.

MRI machines are beginning to use sealed cyropumps. The magnets will still be superconductors at liquid helium temps. But rather than “dunk” the coil in liquid helium and let it boil off, a sealed system will circulate and compress and expand helium in a closed cycle compressor/ heat exchanger.
Power is required to liquify helium off site and drive it in or to compress it in a closed system. Simple trade off that is roughly a wash.
(There are many other complicated engineering details, but commercial devices are currently available.)

Who said anything about liberal conspiracy. My statement didnt show any poltical stance. The goverment has done so much stuff how could you not raise a brow to anything the goverment or media (confirms). These forum's have alot of good o common sense, which is I know for a fact is in a mass shortage.
