    Default Rugby training, change of program

    G’day, I have been following the novice program for the last six months.
    My current stats are;
    Age:23, Weight: 91kg, Height: 175cm

    Bench press: 120kg 5x3, Squat: 167.5kg 5x3, Deadlift: 190kg 5x1, Press 70kg 5x3

    I have not been able to make the same linear progression with my lifts in the last month. But that has also coincided with an increase of rugby training. Should I continue with the NP, or switch to the split program?

    Cheers

    Try to hit 4000 calories a day, eggs, potato, beef, fruit. Don’t always hit calorie intake due to nature of job.
    7-8 hours a night.

    So, you're eating 3000kcal/day and playing rugby 3-5 days a week, and your strength progression is stuck. Of course it is. Sort out your priorities.
