Hamstring issue
Hi,
I have been following starting strength on and off (due to the problem below) for the last 3 Months or so with some good strength gains.
I play football (soccer) follow the M-W-F program with training on Tuesday an Thursday and a match on a Saturday.
The problem I am having is with my right hamstring. Every time my squat gets heavy (above 95kg or so for me) I tear my hamstring on a matchday. Not anything severe, just a grade one tear but it is enough to keep me out of football and weight training for up to two weeks. This has happened twice now.
Any idea why this might be happening? Or anything I can do to avoid it, maybe try some front squats or have a light day? I am a 6 ft 180lbs male btw.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

You have an old tear in this location that has scarred down due to ineffective rehab, and it will continue to serve as a site for re-rupture whether you squat heavy or not. I'd get it looked at by an ART guy.
