Something useful to tell your friend, OP:

    "Whelp, good luck."

You're not gonna convince him, likely, if he's spending money and then doing whatever they say. The only remedy is time and not being an asshole about it until he comes around. Or doesn't.

Either way it's not on you, and it's a recipe for frustration if you try to make it so.

So, force injures the body both when it's close to peak and when it's really far from peak, but in between it's innocuous?

And the use of the musculature in typing is different from other repetitive muscle contractions because...what, it's not done in the gym? Or is it the lack of sweat, perhaps?

Ok, I think it's time to just go here:

Squatting (or benching) in a Smith Machine is fake and gey. Carry on.

Im not sure what you’re arguing here? Yes, you can be injured doing lots of things.

I was discussing the use of a H.I.T style machine based program and how it relates to the 2 factor model.

Why are you discussing HIT Machine training on this forum? Are you lost?

An interest in using it as a supplement to the big barbell lifts. I realize this concept may be a bit abstract for some on this forum.

I'm not sure what you're arguing. To be charitable, and for the sake of those watching the discussion:

You're all over the place here, McBee. You started with statements challenging the assertions of others, and the SS model in general, like "Leg press is actually the best choice for the 2 factor model.", "The smart money would add chest press and pulldown/row for maximum stimulation.", and agreeing with a statement (that was probably offered sarcastically) about the 2-factor model becoming obsolete. You are responding to challenges to your assertions with further assertions and "clarifications" that introduce new and undefined terms.

This is why you're coming across as either a troll or an AI.

I will point out that you may instead be someone who is communicating ineffectively, which is why I bring up these points. If you are in this last category, then bringing them up explicitly can serve to help you understand the responses you are receiving. You would be better off in this case to write out your thesis statement and supporting points clearly for discussion, and consider the responses thoughtfully, not to mention read the material on the method here carefully.

If you are an AI, then there's nothing further to say. If you are a troll, then you're wasting time, and not doing it with much style.

I do not agree that the 2 factor model is obsolete, as I am a firm believer in it. You misunderstood my response.

Workouts are for the purpose of building size and strength, not for the purpose of demonstrating strength.
