I actually experience(d) this as well - went up from about 150 at 6' 2" to about 210 (been more, still gaining weight) and my arm falls asleep regularly - specifically when I'm sleeping well. Worst case I wake up with numb fingers (usually digits 4-5) or arm. Not a big deal.

Was worse when I first started gaining weight. Your body sort of just gets used to it I think.

I happen to know that you can remove the mask whenever need arises.

I’m not sure if you have made any dietary changes in your bulk, but if I have gluten my hands go numb when I sleep. Maybe there you have started to consume for the bulk or consuming more of that is causing some inflammation and aggravating carpal/cubital tunnel syndrome?

For what it's worth, I experienced this for months before finding out about a herniated C6/C7. Since the surgery, I haven't had any numbness.

Thank you to everyone who responded. I tried some new pillows and a new position last night and slept way better; didn't have any numbness. The last thing I want to do is stop growing. I'm going to press on until my body gives me a good reason to stop.

Ignore my previous post in this thread; if the numbness is any any position or a very frequent thing, what I said is probably wrong.

I used to have sleep issues when I was a youngish, fat slob around 245lbs, barely 5'8. All my issues, dissappeared completely under 235lbs.

I would advise against associating your sleep issues with your size, especially with the numbers I'm seeing in this thread. It's likely not related.

Consider hiring a Myofunctional Therapist to help you increase your airway.

im your age OP. one of the things i miss most about being 21 was going to sleep and then not waking up til 8 full hours later. why cant i do that anymore?

i have noticed as i gain weight my sleep does take a hit. i snore worse and gasp for breath at times which wakes me up with anxiety. i probably need a cpap or lose some weight.
