Career Soldier: Army Infantry 1998-2006, Army Counterintelligence 2006-2011, Army Chaplain Corps 2012 to present (Enlisted through 2016, then Officer beginning 2017). Now that I'm in the Chaplain Corps, far from being "done" after 20 years, I may well have an additional 20 years of service in front of me, Lord permitting.
I spend a great deal of time in study, prayer, and counsel, which puts me in my head a great percentage of my time. Without some discipline for my hands and body, my mind would begin to dull.
I've chosen strength training as my discipline, and I take it seriously. Having learned that the SS community does likewise, I felt immediate kinship.
