  1. And I'm content watching a fat sack of shit spend his last years before dying bloviate on a strength forum.
  2. Since you're so interested in my lifting accomplishments: I totaled a slightly above average for the cohort 1062.5lbs at 207lbs bodyweight in the 2016 Starting Strength Spring Challenge. This is only notable because you are a man who spent 52 years dicking around only to eventually die having never totaled 1000lbs in a full powerlifting meet while being 43lbs heavier.
  3. That wasn't directed at you Jerry. You and I got no beef over this.
  4. Sorry if that offended you,as you can see I didn't bring you into it.

    Hey Mark,

Out of the second fire academy. One more to go.

I have been pretty scarce around here, but wanted to say hello.

  6. Hey! So glad to hear from you again. Isn't helping teach just the greatest? Good luck on the upcoming blue belt promoion.

Note: I'm assuming it a foregone conclusion or the Professor would not have selected you to help teach.

I meant to ask you about the recent death of a smoke jumper from up in your area, but decided not to since it might be a downer. It's a cop thing. We choose this stuff to talk or not talk about carefully. Some quirks get indoctrinated so deep they linger for decades.

You have some tough choices in ahead of you. I'll give you my take on it as a rural boy. Stay in Redding. Your kids may be somewhat less stimulated and bored by the more sedate surroundings, but it sounds like you and your loved ones have a good thing where you are. What's more, you have skills and options that most people in that part of CA don't. Rejoice in that.

All the best, and I hope whatever happens and whatever you decide to do for your family will be the best.

Hey Mark - Been busy of late, as field season started in a big way back in May. Still attending two classes per week, and have been helping the Professor with the kid's classes. I will be testing for blue in August. Know the throws quite well, but need to bone up on Yawara. Had to skip the Monday senior class, since I was too sore from my Father's Day jaunt down Burnt Ranch Gorge on the Trinity River.

Put in for the hydrologist position for CALFIRE. Not sure what to think of that yet. Have also been offered a hydrologist position with the Humboldt Redwood Company, which really intrigues me, but would require me to revisit my private industry roots and move back to the fog belt. Choices .... Choices.
