The SSOC I had last summer I don't feel really understood it very well and didn't seem to take it very seriously. She mentioned getting checked for an LLD maybe once or twice but kept programming the weight up and offered no adjustments.

The face to face SSC I saw at the end of December felt I had an LLD but admitted he was no expert in training or identifying an LLD. We messed around with shims and staggered stances and I left there with the type of shim/stance for a left leg femoral discrepancy. Unfortunately, after a couple weeks of training after this I started to experience a very different very sharp pain in my hip and no improvement in apparent muscle imbalances.

So that's when I decided to figure out if I have a structural LLD and it's measurements once and for all. Which I did, and the answer is no.

I'm open to the idea of going to a seminar but hopefully you understand why I'd have to understand why I was actually doing such a thing before I go to the significant expenditure of attending one.

If the only thing you don't already know is whether or not you have a short leg, do not come to the seminar.

Following up on this... this is a disc bulge and annular tear L4-L5. Disc bulge had been around for a while but annular tear is recent and the thing that got me saying "Hey wait a minute this is a back thing". Right erector guarding tight to protect the injury gives the appearance of an uneven hip. Mobility issues in calf and foot most likely nerve shit. It presented in such a weird way, no pain till the annular tear, that it went undiagnosed for a while. I think I've had this for over three years. Hope no permanent damage.

Deadlifts wreck my shit and squats aren't much better. Doing rack pulls and high box squats for now. Plan is to work my way slowly downward. Using pain and feelings in lower extremity as guide for now. Going very light. I've been doing dumbbell presses instead of barbell. Wish there was a reverse hyper machine at my gym. Not sure whether bench press is safe but I think it should be.
