Default Trim up and no lose progress

So I'm 45 and doing the LP.

    Stats are as followed.

    210-215 lb / 6' height

    Bench 3x5 175
    Press 3x5 125
    Squat 3x5 260
    Dead 2x5 305

Question: I feel like I should lose 10 lb not be gaining weight. Will my gains really suffer if I go down 10 lb. Really looking to trim up a bit. Just want to get rid of a bit of fat. Maybe their is a better way?

If you are making progress on the program and you put yourself into a deficit you run the risk of no longer making progress on the program. At your height, that weight is proper for making progress. Keep training and get that squat to 315 and deadlift closer to 405 and you'll start to see the weight distribute differently on your frame. Why are you doing 2 x 5 deadlifts?

Thank you, I'll keep that advise.

I've been doing two set only because I feel like I have the energy to burn. I'll be doing my day 2 tomorrow and will only get one day this week to deadlift. It is by far my favorite lift. Here is where I am currently at.

    Squat 252.5
    Bench 180
    Row 167.5
    Dead 305
    Press 127.5

The other thing I have been doing, and if you tell me to stop I will. On my last set if I have enough in me I add a rep or two. I guess I could always do more sit ups or something.

Just started using this and have added a few days of workouts.

You are welcome. The program is not a weight loss program and thinking of it as an energy expending activity is not a good use of your resources. The goal of the program is to get you stronger. If you are going to do 2 sets I'd at least do a back off and not two sets across. But 5 extra deadlifts isn't going to roost away calories only potentially impede your progress when the weight gets heavy enough.

Sounds good, I'll back off the extra sets and reps and just do the program and get strong. I will say it's working like clockwork.

That I like being 224 better. Although I am snoring. Wife not real happy about that.
