    Hi Robert,

I’ve been drinking almost 2 litres of whole milk per day for about 5 months now and have gained about 30 pounds. However, I’m not feeling great so am tempted to switch to semi skimmed milk and gradually decrease consumption. Will this likely sabotage strength gains?

(I’m 6”2, 23 and have gone from 78 to 92kg. Since training I’ve obviously had to eat a lot more than I would normally to make progress.)

It should be fine but you are at a good weight so I’d replace the fat with carbohydrates to keep the calories up.

Semi skimmed in my uk supermarket is 0.1g protein per 100ml more than the same bog standard line full fat. Go figure.

Here the nonfat typically has an extra gram per 240 mL serving.
