    Hello,

On May 7th I restarted a Linear progression after some time off.

    May 7th:
    Weight 202 lbs
    Waist 34.5 inches
    Calories: not tracked

    June 1st:
    Weight 208 lbs
    Waist 35.9 inches
Calorie average last seven days: 2929
    219 g protein, 337 g carbs, 79 g fat, 32 g fiber

    Squat: 280 lbs 3 x 5
    Deadlift: 315 lbs 1 x5
    Press: 135 lbs 3 x5
    Bench: 175 lbs 3x5

    I am 31 years old and 6’2”

I am concerned about my waist increase in the short time frame and wonder if my calories are too high given my relatively low weight lifting numbers? How should I adjust moving forward.

    Thank you,
    -Donald

Thanks for sharing Donald. Nice work getting those numbers up. What's going on with that bench press? That's a hell of a ratio of press:bench. Anyhow, I don't think your waist has increased that much but we don't want it to keep going for too long. I think your macros are fine if you are close to them on all days. Do you eat this way 7 consecutive days per week? Where is your chin up AMRAP?

Thanks Robert. I typically eat this way all 7 days of the week. In the last 4 weeks I’ve had two days where tracking accurately was hard due to travel. This shouldn’t be a problem moving forward.

For my training I’m working with the SSOC club which is great. My bench press form needed some work and we are currently making 5 lb jumps so it hopefully will be higher soon. My programming doesn’t include chins yet. As of early May I could do 3 sets of 12 reps.

3 sets of 12 is pretty damned good at 200+. You're in good hands over there and right now you just need to continue getting stronger.
