I suppose it's essentially bio-hacking- fooling the body ? The body tries to reach an energy stasis and it stubbornly resists any attempt to increase the size of muscles, because muscle building is highly inefficient energy expenditure. Throw it a few extra calories and it takes the brakes off. I see now that periodisation is possible. As long as the lifts increase then the food supply can be held steady and even decreased, but as soon as it gets difficult, then the calories must be increased.
Do I have that right Robert ?
