GOMAD vs GOBAD?
Thought I'd share a short story about GOBAD. I enlisted to join the Army in my home country about 25 years ago. I reckon I weighed about 140lb (I used to run a lot). I passed all the medical and proficiency tests, but the doctor pulled me aside and said "Son, you're too skinny. You need to put on another 10lb before you start". I told him I ate like a fucking mule, but just couldn't manage to put on weight given my running and overall fast metabolism. He said stop running, and drink a six-pack of beer each day (GOBAD!!) until Basic Training begins (six weeks or so). Sure enough I put on weight. Needless to say that Basic Training was no walk in the park. And no-one weighed me at the beginning of Basic Training. GOMAD with some lifting would have been a better suggestion for sure.
