    I watched this video by Elite FTS : Dave Tate and JM Blakley discussing JM's "secret diet"

    I thought the high level concept was interesting: Essentially going nuts with "dirty eating" temporarily or with a near-term goal in mind to get over a stuck point.

    Any thoughts on going nuts with diet for 1 to 4 weeks to boost a stuck lift like squat or bench?

    5'10 182: but more of a general question. At my age I could see myself going nuts for a week or 2 but not longer, would feel too horrible by the end.

    I've seen that video. It was fun. I think if you do it for a week or two, as you said, the weight will come right back off when you stop. When Dave did it, he didn't care about health, he didn't care how fat he got, his only goal was to go from the 275 class to the 308 class. I'm not sure if Robert has the time or desire to watch the whole thing but I can assure him, "dirty bulking" is an understatement.

    Dave was also likely on PEDs, which influences the effectiveness of this strategy

    Take into account Dave and JM were Elite Professional Powerlifters of Steriods.
    That food program isn’t for anyone that is not on those protocols
