I am 53 years old, make, 6'4" tall and 320 pounds. Waist is about 49 inches. I am 7 weeks back in the gym post virus lock down. Strength is coming along.

    Squat 275
    Dead 300
    Bench 200
    Press 135 all 3x5

My waist measurement concerns me as does my weight. However, don't want to lose strength. Is my thinking correct to keep up with protein - goal is about 200 grams a day - load up on the veggies & fruit and reduce carbs and fat while trying to reduce my weight and waist?

What is your waist circumference? Why is your deadlift lagging?

My waist is 49 inches. I am not sure about the deadlift I thought that is was a good number. Should it be further ahead of the squat?

Yes it should be by ~50-100 lb.

Keep your protein high and lower fat as much as you can manage and you should be able to get stronger while losing fat.
