I smell ammonia in the back of my nose after squatting. lasts a few to 30 minutes. I'm in week 4 of NLP. I have upped my diet a bunch. i was probably eating 1200-1700 calories a day before starting. I'm now still under 3000 even with 1/2 gallon of milk but im working on upping it. im just not a hungry person.

Some reading points to not enough carbs causes this ammonia smell. True? I know I should get my diet dialed in but would a few tablespoons of honey before my workout be something to consider while I adjust to the massive amount of food im supposed to eat?

I have no health issues other than pretty bad quad tendonitis.

How many carbohydrates per day? Are you using inhalants before lifting?

i only inhale air. well some weed from time to time but not before working out.
A sample day of carbs was about 307 according to MFP. I only hit 2500 calories that day.
thanks for the reply Robert. love seeing you on the SS youtubes.

    Are you a breatharian?

Push those carbohydrates up to 350-400 and keep it there all 7 days. That should feel real nice. Glad you enjoyed the content. More to come.

Im going to start seriously meal planning this week. Would you suggest 350-400 carbs and 200ish protein for someone my age and weight? Or more protein than that?

That's a great start. More protein would not hurt but more than 250 g/d is not necessary.
