I like Brussel Sprouts too, but I dislike mixing them into stews, mashes, etc. They somehow seem to dominate the flavor profile, in my opinion. On their own, though, I love them, and have some pretty killer recipes for them.

I don't know if it's the skin or not. I've never tried peeling them. I do know my wife made red beans & rice once about 6 or 7 years ago and she simmered it for so long the red bell peppers were no longer visible. I had no idea she put them in there, and when I ate it, a short while later I was in such bad pain I contemplated whether I was having a heart attack. I just stay away from the bastards now.

I prefer to eat Brussel Sprouts on their own and let them get a little charred. Tastes real good

Yes! Charred Brussel Sprouts are excellent. There's a recipe I've used a few times with agave. I stole it from this guy's YouTube channel. They're probably not the healthiest thing, but my god they are good.

Fair enough. I'm not a fan of bell peppers to begin with, but I didn't know if it was something you were Jonesing for.

Nah. Actually, I'm not a fan of the taste all that much either. I can live without them and be perfectly content.
