    Robert,

I'm looking for advice on caloric needs. A little background, I ran the NLP from Dec 2019 to about March 2020. I went from BW 150 to 215 with squat 315, DL 330, press 130. I had some issues (I have ankylosing spondylitis) and fucked around for the last year or so without making any real progress. I've now started the NLP over again with a squat 315, DL 350, press 135. BW is currently 208.

The first go round I was eating 3700-4000 calories (~270 protein, 310 carbs, 150 fat). I got a little fluffy, I assuming from the excess fat. This time I'm doing 3000 calories per day (~200-250 protein, 300 carbs, 80 fat).

My question is, I'm hoping to really max out my NLP this time around. Should I keep with the 3000 calories or should I bump up the carbs to get to 3500? Do you believe I can continue to make progress on 3000?

I would bump up on 3500. You are starting at a higher baseline this time.

Would you do that via carbs, fat, or a combo? I believe I got a little too fat last time because I was eating 150 or more grams of fat per day. My lifts are the same or better at 208 than 215. Iíve already moved my deadlift up from 350 to 370 in a week. Should I keep the fat under 100?

More carbs vs fat and I agree with your assessment. 100 may not be that bad in it of it's own. Try making that your upper limit and start from there.
