    Default Weight Gaining Advice

My basic question is whether I’m in a place where I need to gain weight or continue about where I am as long as my squat and deadlift are progressing without issue.

    - 5 weeks into my NLP
    - 5’7 and 40 years old
    - Started the program at 188 pounds
    - Now at 191-192 pounds (3-4 pounds in 5 weeks into the program)
    - Last had an InBody scan about 6 months ago and was around 28% body fat

    Current lifts:
    - Squat, 215, 3 sets of 5
    - Deadlift, 285, 1 set of 5
    - Press, 135, 3 sets of 5
    - Bench, 200, 3 sets of 5

Everything is progressing well so far. No stalls yet. Just wondering if I need to pump the breaks on the weight gaining until lifts begin to stall, or keep gaining at current rate, or gain even more so.

    Thanks

Just keep eating as you are and don't change anything just yet. Your weight will settle. Sounds like things are going well. How much are you eating?

Thank you! Give or take 3,000 calories. At least 150 grams of protein each day. Haven’t really tracked carbs or fats. Just trying to hit calories and protein for recovery. Is there a general time frame that my weight might settle?

Bump that up to 200 and make sure carbs don't drop below 300. Fats are pointless to track in your case but you should track carbs because that is one that people tend to undereat when trying to keep a reasonably clean diet.
