How to balance diet and strength goals?
I'm a 28 year old 5'11 270lbs fat ass. Last dexa scan wasnt very long ago and I think was around 37% body fat. I want to get much stronger. This morning's workout was the following:
S @ 245 3x5
BP @ 205 3x5
DL @ 285 1x5
(Wednwsday I'll OHP @ 120)
I just got a belt and weightlifting shoes recently and feel like these weights can go up for a while before hitting a plateau. I'm currently eating under 3000 calories, tracking everything with cronometer. Some days I hit 27k and others will be lower. I'm focusing on eating mostly whole foods and always hitting > 200g protein.
My plan was to keep this going for a few months and see if I noticed any changes. I'm hoping that in that time I'll recomp and turn some of this fat into muscle. Let me know if you have any recommendations.
Thanks

At your stage you can lose weight just fine and get stronger. You may feel some differences in leverage when you have less overall mass to move the weight with but you should adjust to it over time.
