Nutrition lecture part 2: protein
Jordan, please correct me if I've misunderstood.
Early in the video you said that 3g of leucine is enough to generate an MPS response in all demographics, and that 20-25g of animal derived protein will give this 3g of leucine.
Later you said that older people can actually get zero response from 20g and might need as much as 40g, but after just a 10 minute walk the 20g may be enough (because sensitivity to amino acids has increased).
So, as I understand it, unless older people have just trained/exercised the 20-25g is not actually enough to generate an MPS.
This seems to conflict with the first statement.
Can you clarify please?

I said in nearly all demographics and 3g of leucine in a protein source with complete EAA profile will get the job done. In the study where 20g protein showed effectively no response, there was not 3g of leucine in the meal. It was a shitty meal.
