It would seem, to an enthusiastic laymen, that since BCAAs are the most calorically efficient way to induce muscle protein synthesis, that they would theoretically have a valuable place in the diet of someone looking to preserve muscle mass while in a caloric deficit. Is there any truth to this?

Say you're a waiter without much convenient or cost efficient access to regular 30g, macro adjusted animal protein meals. Compared to nothing, would a scoop of gainzz to bridge the gap between morning and nighttime meals be helpful?

Not really. I would do 2 scoops of whey. Need all those essential amino acids.
