Hi. I'm 21 years old, 6'5, 245lbs with a waist size of 41". Unsure of BF% but I would guess 25%, maybe more.

    Lifts:
Squat 220x5x3 (reset from 275 due to knees caving)
    Deadlift 286x5x1
    Bench 165x5x3
    Press 99x5x3

Also doing 10 rounds of 1:2 HIIT after each workout

I'm trying to lose weight becasue I'm worried about my waist. Currently eating ~3000 calories, aiming for 20% carbs, 40% fat, 40% protein. I've been doing this for 10 days now and I lost about 2 and a half pounds. However, my lifts are stalling pretty bad, even though I'm eating more protein than I think I ever have before. Are these macros the right way to go?

Take the fat down and make the carbs go up. You need carbs for energy, John. They're magic for training.

You don't need 300g protein. Take it down to 240, take the fat down below 100g (you're at 133 by my reckoning), and fill in the rest with carbs.

    Good luck!
