Does anyone know about testosterone levels and something called SHGB?
Hello. I got my blood test results in advance of my physical on June 11th. I asked to be tested for testosterone levels. I'm soon to be 49. Here are the results:
Total testosterone: 749 ng/dL
ALB: 4.4 g/dL
SHGB: 65.23 nmol/L
Free testosterone: 10.48
According to the report, my "SHGB" is "high". I did some research and some websites say this is a problem because a high level of SHGB produces the same effect as having low testosterone, whereas other websites say SHGB is high when you train hard.
Does anyone have any comments on the results above? Thanks.
