Re: grip strength, I understand that if you add 100 lbs to your deadlift, your grip got stronger. But it is said there are three types of grip strength" crush, support, and pinch. Deadlifts directly train only one, and only in one position. Isn't that like training squats by only using isometrics at one knee angle?
I am sure that between direct training from deadlifting, and just the whole body getting stronger from the NLP, one's grip does get stronger. But if one desires grip strength is particular wouldn't some direct training of crush and pinch gripping help? I can see the logic of not adding it to the NLP so I am not really arguing against Rip's answer, more of a general question.
