How to Punch a Hole in Your Belt | Mark Rippetoe

You mentioned that the factory holes are not exactly at 90° angles with the surface of the belt. Is that by intention or is it due to the tension created by the pin when the belt is locked? Do you therefore angle the punch slightly off 90° when you create a new hole?
I didn't say that. I said the pin lays in the hole at an angle.
I drilled my belt (elitefts™ P2 Power Belt) when I needed to add an extra hole. I clamped it between two bits of wood, one of which had a hole the right size already drilled in it. It seemed to work OK. If I'd seen this video first, though, I'd have used a punch.
I also took it into a cobblers to see if they could make a hole in it for me but they couldn't. The chap in there asked me if it was from a horse's saddle.
Chuck Norris would have punched a hole in the belt with his clenched fist of Death. Literally.
Never ask Chuck Norris to give you a hole punch!
