Hi Coach
When I grow up I want to be like Chase, a Press specialist.
I know I need bench work to assist the press progress however in my shitty gym it’s proving difficult, no spotter arms, no trustworthy spotters, only one rack with no spare bench etc etc.
So I’ve started to use the machine bench as my upper body assistance exercise for the press. That should still benefit even if not optimal, yeah ?

finding it hard to get past 180lb press
You can afford a better gym.

The fuckers here in Aust just put us in lockdown again from midnight tonight because of a handful of “cases”, cases not deaths !. Gyms closed.
So I went out spent $2500 ! on equipment.
I don’t need the gym anymore.
So you win, no machine bench required. ;-)
Always best to be as independent as possible.
