Good article. Definitely not dogma. Dogmatism would be:
* GOMAD for all.
* Power cleans no matter what.
* Rigid programming templates that get applied without looking at the lifter, their goals, or their current progress.
There are more, but those are just the easy ones off the top.
Haven’t read it yet, but perhaps we can call Starting Strength the “Standard Model” of lifting (like physics), instead of Dogma.
When did following a program strictly lose its a value that people aspire to.
To quote Jordan Peterson "You cannot aim yourself at anything if you are completely undisciplined and untutored. You will not know what to target, and you won't fly straight, even if you somehow get your aim right. And then you will conclude, "there is nothing to aim for." And then you will be lost."
