Ive been running a standard HLM for several weeks, however time/energy is becoming an issue as it is taking me 1.5 hrs to finish a session. I know Andy Baker has always talked about adding a 4th press day to an HLM, but would it be doable to add in both a pull and a press in the 4th day so that my weekly volume is more thoroughly spread-out?
A setup like this:
Day1
Light Press/Heavy Squat/Chins
Day2
Bench/Deadlift/dips
Day3
Heavy Press/Light Squat/Chins
Day4
Power Cleans/CG bench/conditioning
I could resort to the standard 4 day upper/lower split, but i enjoy working the entire body in a session focusing just on 2 main lifts. Any advice would be much appreciated.
