Texas Method - Deadlift and Hip Dysplasia
Hello Rip and All,
i'm from germany and i've been training since 2009. i taught myself everything in my homgym, through videos and reading a lot.
a lot of nonsense too, of course, but you never stop learning. really serious since 2015.
In 2017 began trained with SS and then in 2019 the Texas Method.
age 37
height 1,80m
weight 116kg
im a chimneysweeper and mid/hard work
my current strength values
squat 5x5 - 213kg
squat 1x5 - 232kg
benchp 5x5 - 134kg
benchp 1x5 - 143kg
overheadp 5x5 - 90kg
overheadp 1x5 - 100kg
powercl 5x3 - 100kg
powercl 1x5 - 110kg
here is the problem i dont have bumperplates at the time
and i have to drop the barbell on my thighs
deadlift 1x 232kg
deadlift 1x5 202kg
and here is my problem. i cant go so much higher for max and mondays deadlift on volume because my hip Dysplasia.
i have always pains because my hip is since birth too narrow - the muscles are every day fucked. but my little friend massagegun helps a lot.
and go up the low bar squat was helping the most.
my questions are
are the weights ok for my age,weight...?
and the important question, what can i do? deadlift not every week 2kg increase? switch deadlift to rows?
thx
