If you use the same equation for a pushup against the mass of the earth 5.98 x to the 24th power Kg x 9.8, well that is a heaps of Newtons, so the bench press is easier. Ha!
    This is precisely why I place my arms at an angle while doing pushups. Only a few "insiders" know that, at the right angle, you can cut the weight of the earth in half.

    Sounds like a BS premise for an article.

    YES, if you can do 40 pushups, the chances of your heart health being bad is very small.

    BUT, do we then conclude that if you can't do 40 pushups, then your heart health is bad?

    I can think of lots of reasons why a person couldn't do 40 pushups, all unrelated to heart health. And guess what? Many of those said persons could train it for a while and then be able to do 40 pushups. Now, did their heart health improve during that training, or did they just get better at doing pushups?

    Conditioning != heart health

    Correlation does not mean causation: Correlation does not imply causation - Wikipedia

    XYZ bodybuilder can squat 315 lbs after following all aspects of SS for a few months. If you do SS you can squat 315 lbs. That is an example of causation.
    XYZ bodybuilder can squat 315 lbs. He eat's McDonald's 3 days a week (after his workout). If you eat Eat McDonalds 3 times a week you can squat 315 lbs. That is an example of correlation.

    Sure being able to do 40 straight pushups means you are generally in shape and belong to a community of people who are generally fit and watch what they eat, but by no means does doing 40 pushups alone cause you to be healthy, it is just an interesting correlation.
