It’s not the fuel. What people don’t understand is that our capital is like another country within Britain. Those outside the capital are on lower incomes-there is something called London weighting for Government workers who have to live there. Unfortunately this means that Carl’s prices are much higher and staying there is several times what it costs outside London. You can’t even drive around much of central London without incurring enormous charges and finding long term parking is needle in a haystack stuff. The train is more convenient, but of course more expensive overall, but less hassle than the car.
