I really appreciate the videos and training information. This is the first time I've posted anything.
I'm a 54 year old that started with NLP mid-August and have made decent progress. I have not hit the spot yet that I need to consider switching to intermediate programming.
However, there's always a catch. This happens to be my "off season" training and in mid-February I will start my work on the college baseball field as an umpire.
My situation: working the plate at least 2x a week, doing perhaps 300 squats and countless 45-90ft sprints, I may not recover properly to do my next workout. Or, with every game on ESPN nowadays, my performance on the field may suffer because I may be a bit sore from the deadlift or squat workout the day before and not get into position at 2nd base quickly enough to make a proper use of eyes decision and get the call incorrect. That type of thing goes on our evaluations and could end up costing games, which means money, in the long run.
So, my question is, should/could I switch to the 4-day split when the season starts and I can play with the heavy leg and a deadlift day according to my midweek schedule? How will this affect my progress line that I have now?
