I was just reviewing my thread and it's fun to see my progress. I have been working reasonably hard. I've gained another 22 pounds and have been able to squat 440 for 2 sets of 5 and am still moving slowly forward. My deadlift has sort of stagnated at 550 or maybe a little more on a good day but squat is still moving albeit slowly. I have found that working really hard at full body 5s for a month works well if I cut volume after that for awhile. I just completed mad cow 5x5 advanced for the first time without missing a rep in the volume phase. I'm getting a little tiny bit smarter. I have found my need to recover is higher than I thought it was and that less appears to be more. Meaning, 2/3rds of the sets gets me further than doing all of it. Not sure if it's my age or what.

If you can do 440x5 just see if you can gut it out and do it for 10. (joking of course) Congrats dude.

Thanks. I made the 2 sets of 5 with 15 min between sets. I set it down and went an ate a sandwich. I've noticed that a peanut butter sandwich and a quart of milk seems to be the answer to most questions I have regarding weight lifting.
