Combining Running and Lifting
Andy,
Do you see any detriment to running 1-2 miles 2-3 times a week? Will this impact my strength significantly?

Depends on your level of training advancement and how conditioned you already are to running. If training / running / nutrition are all managed correctly this is not an unreasonable amount of cardio, but in general I'm not a fan of running as a form of conditioning for a lifter. I'd rather see you take those 4 laps around the track and "sprint the straights" and "walk the curves". It's a better way for a lifter to condition than longer duration jogging. Or just go push a prowler or drag a sled. Even better.
