Hi Andy, what kind of program do you use on someone who is squatting and pulling in the low 400's and just wants to maintain current strength/happy with minimal gainz at this point?

    I'm a late intermediate/advanced, 30 yo male, 6', 240.

    Cheers.

well if you want Andy you will have to ask him but maintaining is not exactly what we do when it comes to training. My off the cuff answer would be to work up to something reasonably challenging then back off and do a couple more sets of 5.

Thanks. I'm just looking to be healthy and lose some belly fat whilst mainting/slowly improving my squat and deadlift.

Doing that has more to do with nutrition than anything else.

    Thanks, Brent.

I've been away from training for 6 months, I'm currently squatting 3x5 /week and deadlifting 1x5 /week whilst adding weight each week until I get somewhere near where I was. Do you think this program is reasonable for the time being?

Once things slow I'll have to switch to monthly or longer cycles. Not sure how to set them up but ideally I want to squat and deadlift one per week on seperate days.

If you have been away from training for 6mo you should titrate up and run a small novice LP.
