    Default Quick Programming/HIIT introduction question

Hi, just a quick question. I've been working on the SS novice program and it became apparent that the 1 day on - 1 day rest model wasn't enough recovery time for me (probably age and health issues 47 yo male, 35%-ish BF). I moved to a 1 day on - 2 day rest a few weeks ago and have been able to make consistent progress. I had been avoiding HIIT as recovery was an issue, but now that the 2 day off model is working, I want to try adding in a HIIT day like Jordan recommends in his "fluffy novice" scenario.

Which would be the best rotation? Train day, HIIT Day, Rest day, or Train, Rest, HIIT?

    Thank you!

I would go with HIIT right after training day that way there is a whole day's rest before next training session. It's ok if your HIIT performance is affected by the previous day's training. It's NOT ok that your HIIT affect your NEXT training day since it is the training that will keep driving progress and not your HIIT.
