HLM on a caloric deficit for athlete
Hey coach
i would like to ask if running a HLM for an athlete like me (basketball player) will work (have a weekly increase of weight on the bar) if i followed a rep and set plan like the one below while an athlete
is practicing on tue/thu/sat and train at the same time ex: training followed by a bball practice or maybe like:
Tuesday:
LOW BAR SQUATS RATTLE THE WEIGHTS RAMP UP TO 5REPMAX (EX:5 x 135, 165, 195, 225, 255 lbs)
OVERHEAD PRESS RAMP UP TO 5 REPMAX
RDL 2x8 @65%of 1rm
Chin ups:3x max
lat pulldowns:5x10 reps
Flat bench db-2x 12-15(Not To Failure)
Thursday:
Bench Press RAMP UP TO 5 REPMAX
front squats 3x5 (20% lighter than tuesday squat)
RDL 2X8@65%OF 1RM
Chin ups:3x max
lat pulldowns:3x8 reps
db Incline bench- 2x 12-15 (NTF)
