    She hasn't had them tested, but she is almost certainly iron deficient. She doesn't eat well and has heavy periods.

    My sister had some energy issues related to these things... the doctor put her on iron supplements and birth control. Its certainly helped her out. (12 hours of sleep and being groggy to 8 and not being groggy)

    Usually you can do with a few short nights, especially if you are waking up on your own.

    If you have a flexible schedule, just start your day earlier. You will most likely get more sleep the next night. If you are running low for several nights in a row you might have a problem. I sleep 9+ hours on Friday and Saturday nights and get 6-7 during the week.

    Birth control makes her nauseous, which actually makes it quite effective as birth control because it makes her never want to have sex.

    She's on a multivitamin right now, which has been helping she thinks.

    I believe the joke is the Merry Go-Round will make you nauseous for less cost than birth control.
