Hey everyone,
While squatting with my belt (inzer 10mm single prong) I may have gotten too low or something of the sort as I damaged something on only my left side about where the last ribs are. Im not sure if it was a rib itself I hit or intercoastal muscles there. After my session coming back two days later to squat I would feel the pain again once i got to parallel or deeper and now it happens without the belt. Initially happened a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to keep doing some lighter work instead. I'm able to deadlift with no pain too, but when I weighted squat it hurts. I'm not sure if the best thing for me to do is to take time off squatting or some other solution so i look to you for advice.
Also, I have a pretty short torso if that would influence things and im doing SS LP (285 squat is the weight where the injury occurred) 6'2 205 lbs
Thanks!

Hard to say without seeing you, the belt, and the squats. It can. Too lose can do it, too (if the belt is loose enough to slip when you're at the bottom).

You should be able to view me working with 290 there, thanks for your help!
You're very vertical and pretty loose - both of which I think could be causing some of your problem. Also, is that one of those belts with the plastic layer in the middle?
So i should try to be more horizonatal in the future? By loose, do you mean that I am not bracing my body enough?
No, definitely a leather power lifting belt (10mm inzer)
