I am male, 59yo, novice, obese (5'4", 215-220 lbs). Experienced suspected muscle strain in outer right quad, with audible "pop, pop, pop," during first set, first rep of back squats at 210 lbs. This followed five warm up sets with no problems beyond tightness in outer thighs. Plenty sore and stiff now and will require rest and maybe even medical intervention.
Question: Should I stick with the (rest of the) program and keep up the presses and pulls I can do while resting the thigh?

Many thanks to coaches Adam and Ryan...Starr rehab program working well and discomfort and tightness are less after each session. I deloaded 10% on presses and deadlift, just to be safe.
