Minor Groin Injury Recovery - Am I Being A Knucklehead?
I'm a 49 year old guy doing the HLM program. Three days ago I pulled my left groin (not lifting related). It's minor - no swelling and I can move around okay - just some light discomfort with certain motions. I started the Starr Protocol yesterday, and both days I've done it, I've noticed that squatting doesn't seem to bother my groin at all, but reps over about 10 irritate my right QL.
Given this, I'm thinking about dropping the Starr Protocol and going back to the HLM program (which has considerably lower reps than the Starr Protocol) as long as I'm not getting groin discomfort as I increase the weight on my warm-up sets for the squat and deadlift. (I need take care of my QL too, but I think some consistent soft-tissue work should fix that up.) Does this seems reasonable, or am I being a knucklehead?
