One of our PT's would have an answer as to the shoulder pain but cortisone should be avoided. Its a bandaid and won't fix anything long term
Three months ago I twinged my shoulder while doing a face plant skiing. I continued with my lifting and even though it would hurt a little bit during warm ups it felt much better post workouts. I finally went to the doctor and she at first thought I may have torn my rotator cuff again but after having me move the arm all over and such she didn't think so and suggested I stop lifting and do some light band work. I didn't listen to that and have kept lifting and I keep setting PRs even though the shoulder hurts a bit.
The funny thing is it only really hurts if I bring my forearm parallel to the floor and then move my arm straight out to the side. I can lift it in front of me just fine and have full range of motion. Any thoughts as to what this could be? The next step I think the doctor wants to do is a cortisone shot and if that doesn't clear it up an MRI.

Post a video of the movement, also how often are you doing the movement to cause pain?
