Ischial tuberosity pain - bursitis?
All - I'm looking for some guidance. When squatting, and mostly after a squat workout, I feel a fairly intense pain localized precisely on my left ischial tuberosity. It seems to be more sensitive to pushing from the heel, less so (but still there) if I'm well centered on the middle of the foot. The pain doesn't radiate at all. I feel the pain when not exercising when I put pressure on the precise spot, e.g., on a hard chair when shifting my weight to the left or when sitting on the very edge of the seat.
I feel some limited relief when stretching my hamstring. They are chronically tight.
I have access to a good ART specialist here and I'm planning to go see him tomorrow. However, I'm interested in any piece of info from the crowd here. Interested in particular in other people's experience with similar injuries, whether hamstring flexibility is indeed a factor in the injury or in triggering the pain, whether NSAIDs should or should not be used, etc.

What kind of pain is it?
Have you tried rolling around on a lacrosse ball / softball / rock?
