    My experience with the seated press for years because of a lack of overhead space is hitting a hard wall. I’ve just recently moved to a place that has high enough basement ceilings to do a proper press and there’s a world of difference between the two.

    If you have an incline bench adjust it to its highest setting. This will pretty much mimic the press layback position and will force you to strict press. When you are doing 225 for reps you can thank me.
